I had a simple need, keeping my whiskers out of my tea and beer. My search for a moustache guard began. Lucky enough I got my hands on a rare original Victorian silver moustache guard. It is just as functional as it is beautiful. At the same time this antique Victorian contraption was more of a collectors item and not an everyday carry.
Annoyed and with no appropriate candidates were to be found, I decided to make my own variant of a moustache guard. Inspired by design of the antique Victorian moustache guards and moustache cups the first Schnauzerschutz was born. The result was game chancing and a tickling joy! An experience that I love like to share with you!
My facial hair journey began when I was a young man of 18. I began with long narrow sideburns. As my follicles flourished I matured to having cheeks full of mutton chops. Thence to friendly mutton chops with a wax styled moustache. I dropped the chops and kept the moustache.
Since 2017 I have worn the moustache gifted by Mother Nature. No wax any more. I was the British Champion Natural Moustache in 2018 and 2022. On top of that I am proud an honoured to be an appointed Captain Fawcett Ambassador extraordinaire.
